In a tragic turn of events, a family of four, including two young boys aged 10 and 12, were found deceased in their New City home, a suburb of New York. The incident, unfolding late Friday night, is being investigated as a murder-suicide involving Watson Morgan, a sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department.
Authorities reported that Watson Morgan, 49, did not report for his scheduled evening shift, prompting a welfare check at his residence. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the bodies of Morgan, his wife Ornela Morgan, 43, and their two sons, all with gunshot wounds. A handgun was found at the scene, pointing to a grim conclusion.
Watson Morgan, whose law enforcement career spanned over two decades, started with the New York Police Department in 2000. He later joined the Bronxville force in 2007 and was elevated to the rank of sergeant in 2016.
Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale expressed deep sorrow over the incident, acknowledging the immense loss felt by both the Morgan family and the Bronxville Police Department. The community and the department are left to grapple with the profound impact of this senseless tragedy.
